Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has hailed Sambhaji Nagar as a burgeoning industrial magnet, praising the region’s entrepreneurial spirit and collaborative efforts in driving its transformation into a major industrial hub. During a meeting with the Chamber of Marathwada Industries and Agriculture (CMIA), Fadnavis lauded the unique collaborative spirit of Sambhaji Nagar’s industrialists, contrasting it with a more individualistic approach often seen elsewhere in the state. He emphasized the collective drive to propel Sambhaji Nagar’s industrial growth.
The success of the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) has played a significant role in this transformation. Fadnavis highlighted the complete occupancy of a 10,000-acre industrial estate within the DMIC, with an additional 8,000 acres already slated for development to meet the high demand. This demonstrates the significant attraction of the region for major industrial players.
Fadnavis also pointed to the readily available skilled workforce as a key factor in attracting investment. The existing industrial ecosystem provides a complete support structure, ensuring that businesses find all the necessary resources readily available within the region. This has proven highly attractive to investors, leading to sustained investment and growth.
The Chief Minister also credited the Samruddhi Mahamarg expressway, a project he championed, as a significant contributor to Sambhaji Nagar’s growing prominence as an industrial center. Improved infrastructure, coupled with a strong local entrepreneurial spirit and readily available skilled labor, is creating a powerful combination for sustained economic growth.
Earlier in the day, Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar paid their respects at the memorial of the Chapekar brothers, freedom fighters who assassinated a British officer in 1897. Fadnavis encouraged school students to visit the memorial, emphasizing its significance not only as the site of the assassination but also as a testament to the progressive ideals of the Chapekar family.
