In a gesture of appreciation and recognition, a special screening of the upcoming film ‘Ground Zero’ was held for brave BSF Jawans in Srinagar on Friday. The event saw the entire team of the film, including lead actor Emraan Hashmi, Sai Tamhankar, director Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar, producers Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar, and co-producer Arhan Bagati, come together to celebrate the film’s dedication to the Border Security Force (BSF).

‘Ground Zero’, set in the early 2000s in Kashmir, tells the story of a critical mission led by BSF officer Narendra Nath Dubey, played by Emraan Hashmi. The film highlights Dubey’s pivotal role in eliminating the notorious terrorist mastermind “Ghazi Baba,” a mission that significantly impacted India’s national security.

Emraan Hashmi, during a conversation with ANI, emphasized the film’s significance as the first cinematic tribute solely dedicated to the BSF. He highlighted the importance of showcasing the courage and sacrifices made by BSF officers for the country, stating, “This is the first time a film has been made solely to honour the BSF. We have seen stories based on the Indian Army and police before, but Ground Zero is a tribute to BSF officers, their courage, and the sacrifices they have made for the country. That, in itself, is a significant milestone.”

The screening was a heartwarming event, bringing together the film’s team with the brave men and women who protect India’s borders. It served as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by the BSF and the importance of recognizing their contributions to national security.

‘Ground Zero’, produced by Excel Entertainment and directed by Tejas Deoskar, is set to release in cinemas on April 25, 2025.
